April 2017 26th Edition

Did you know that 663 million people lack access to an improved source of drinking water?  That’s 1 in 9 of us! This year SSC is expanding our service trip program.  We’re again working with Weathermatic and Living Water International to send 6 students to El Salvador (August 20-26) to help build a fresh water well and teach hygiene classes.  This scholarship is open to all current undergraduate students at the College Station, Prairie View and Laredo campuses.  Interested students can apply via this link through the April 30th deadline: http://sscfacilities.wixsite.com/weathermatic

We don’t have to travel to a third world country to make a difference.  We can educate ourselves and donate to amazing causes such as Living Water, the non-profit SSC is partnering with on this service trip: https://water.cc/

Access to clean drinking water should be a basic human right.  Let’s all do our part to help this become a reality!
