June 2019 52nd Edition

Richard Gentry
Regional Vice President

The official start of summer is nearly upon us and with that comes the intense Texas summer heat, barbecues, river floating, pool time, summer getaways, and whatever your summer traditions may entail.

Summer is actually one of our busiest seasons here at SSC.  Our departments are working very hard behind the scenes to prepare campus for fall.  Custodial focuses on building floor work and preparing residence halls for fall, Maintenance takes care of any issues in the residence halls, EDCS works on renovation projects (especially classrooms), and our Grounds crews are out mowing and tending to the plants and flowers.

Safety is our number one priority here at SSC. My wish for my staff and all university students, faculty, and staff is to have a safe and enjoyable summer and return safely for the fall semester!
