Congratulations Shane Johnson & Mike Bailey!


Mike Bailey (pictured right) is new to EDCS but not a stranger to Facilities Services.  Before joining EDCS as a Construction Inspector II, Mike worked for A&M’s Physical Plant in the Maintenance Department for 21 years!  Prior to that, Mike was employed by College Station Electric, where he worked for 6 years.  Born in Tyler, Mike moved to Bryan and graduated from Bryan High, having completed courses in building trades.  Mike is married with two stepdaughters.  And we can’t forget about Mike’s old cat named Sargent!  Mike enjoys camping, fishing, metal detecting, cooking and Texas history.  He also enjoys visiting destinations all over the great state of Texas and like a true Texan, his favorite food is barbecue.   Mike made sure to let us know he also likes seafood.  Mike is a very kindhearted man who likes helping others who cannot help themselves.  Mike lives by the advice never give up.  His favorite part of being a Construction Inspector is learning new things and being around great people.  Well, we think our EDCS department is indeed made up of great people and we’re glad you’re one of them, Mike! 


Welcome to Shane Johnson (pictured left) who, like Mike Bailey, is new to EDCS but not Facilities Services.  Shane recently joined EDCS as a Construction Inspector I.  Previously, he worked for Maintenance Zone Residence South for a little over three years, performing the duties of a senior plumber.  Shane trained apprentices and worked on almost everything plumbing related. Sometimes he would go to other shops and assist them with plumbing work that needed to be done.  His hard work didn’t go unnoticed and Shane earned the High Five award.  Shane has worked at Barton’s Plumbing as a pluming apprentice and also at Blue Bell as an operator and maintenance tech.  Shane is a talented young man and is already a journeyman plumber.  Born in Bryan, Shane resides in Caldwell.  His leisure time involves spending time with family, playing golf, shooting pool and going fishing on the coast.  During his high school years, Shane did a lot of cattle roping.  He lives by the advice of always treating people the way you want to be treated.  Shane is very much enjoying his time in EDCS so far.  He is learning so much and enjoying his new team.  We’re fortunate to have you, Shane, and look forward to many more years of having you on the EDCS team!
