Twenty-six associates from our Engineering, Design and Construction Services (EDCS) team, three associates from Maintenance Services and two from Grounds Management, as well as one representative from Texas A&M University, attended the recent OSHA–Authorized 30 Hour Construction Training Course (29 CFR 1926) presented by OSHA Authorized Outreach Trainer, John Alaniz, Corporate Safety & Risk Manager for Compass Group (TAMU Support).
The OSHA 30 Hour Construction Industry Outreach Training Course is a comprehensive safety program designed for anyone involved in the construction industry. Specifically devised for safety directors, foremen and field supervisors, this program provides complete information on OSHA compliance issues. Students learned about hazard recognition, avoidance, abatement and prevention.
In addition to learning about safety and health hazards in the workplace, students also learned about OSHA, employer responsibilities, and worker rights. OSHA recommends Outreach Training Programs as an orientation to occupational safety and health for workers covered by OSHA 29 CFR 1926. Employees must receive additional training, when required by OSHA standards, on specific hazards of the job.
Congratulations to all who completed this training!
