Grounds Management hosted a lab for Dr. Whitney Griffin’s HORT 432 Beginner Design class. The lab involved irrigation troubleshooting work for a three hour time period. It was held along Military Walk and the students gained hands-on experience repairing an irrigation leak. Additionally, students learned about irrigation controllers and zone valves. Overall, it was a very successful collaboration!
Grounds also hosted another lab for Dr. Whitney Griffin’s HORT 432 Beginner Design class. This particular lab was a landscape installation project at the new Scott’s Miracle-Gro Lawn and Garden Research Facility located on F&B Road. The students assisted with the installation of plants and turf for the three hour time block. It was another hands-on, get down and dirty project that the students really enjoyed. The result was a beautiful finished product!
