INTRODUCING CIVIL ENGINEERING STUDENT SERVICES SPACE
SSC Engineering, Design & Construction Services (EDCS) is pleased to have worked with the College of Engineering on the new Civil Engineering Student Services space inside the Dwight Look Engineering Building. Formerly the dining area Pi R Squared, this space has been converted into an engineering student area, primarily for undergraduate and graduate civil engineering students. The space also includes an administration area and break room. In just 90 days, the old area was entirely gutted and completely remodeled to look as it does today. Jim Uehlin, EDCS Project Manager, oversaw this project from start to finish. The project’s architect of record is TreanorHL out of Lawrence, Kansas. This is the same architect who designed the new Zachry Engineering Building, which is currently under construction. The general contractor, who successfully completed the project, is locally owned Marek Brothers Construction. The new space is beautiful, warm and inviting. If you haven’t already done so, check it out!
