SSC CONGRATULATES TRANSPORTATION SERVICES ON DISTINGUISHED RECOGNITION

 

 

Members of the Texas A&M Transportation Services Department accept the APO designation

during an official awards ceremony held at the IPI Conference in New Orleans.

 

SSC would like to extend a hearty congratulations to Texas A&M University’s Transportation Services, who recently received an accreditation status of Accredited Parking Organization with Distinction by the International Parking Institute.  The university’s Transportation Services Department is one of three U.S. institutions to receive this distinguished award.

The Accredited Parking Organization is a designation for parking organizations that recognizes best practices in responsible parking management and operations, customer service, professional development, safety and security.  Additionally, parking lots 54 and 24, along with the recently constructed Cain garage, received “premier facility” status. 

 

SSC’s very own Structural/Civil Engineer, Dr. Mikael "Mike" Olsen, has worked on the lot 54 renovation project and was thrilled to discover that those two lots had received an esteemed status. Mike remarks, "It is most rewarding to have participated in and collaborated on the challenging projects with Transportation Services. CLM Energy of Bryan was the general contractor on the PA54 Lot. My heartfelt congratulations goes out to everyone who participated on these projects, but in particular to Clint Willis and Doug Ervin with Transportation Services and Chris Harris with Kimley Horn and Associates. Without their planning, help, guidance, and continued efforts, these and other projects would not have been successfully completed and the award not possible.”
