EDCS HELPED MAKE GMP A REALITY

Engineering, Design and Construction Services’ Project Manager, John Cargill, and Construction Inspector, Steve Barbee, had the privilege of being part of an exciting project for the Health Science Center College of Pharmacy - a good manufacturing practice or “GMP” suite for pharmaceutical manufacturing in the Reynolds Building. John and Steve worked with HSC customers through design and construction of the manufacturing suite on an accelerated schedule in the active lab building. The majority of the work involved heavy mechanical, electrical and plumbing work including specialized equipment, such as a dust collector and medical grade air compressor for pill making operations. In a June 19th article that appeared in Texas A&M Today, Christina Sumners with the HSC described in detail what the GMP will be able to provide for medication research.
