"WELCOME BACK" TO GRAPHICS SUPERVISOR KEVIN SCROGGINS
We would like to welcome back Kevin Scroggins to the Graphics Shop.
In early August, Kevin began in the role of Graphics Supervisor but he’s no stranger to the graphics business. In 1982, Kevin began his career at TAMU. He actually initiated the creation of Texas A&M University’s Graphics Department, including procuring capital equipment and resources, hiring talent, and delivering training. He oversaw workflow processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness and led new business development. Additionally, Kevin managed all client interactions ranging from project estimating and budgeting to engineering. During his first go around at the TAMU Physical Plant, Kevin earned the prestigious Texas A&M University President’s Meritorious Service Award. Prior to returning to the Graphics Shop, Kevin served as the facilities director for scientific start-up companies in the area and also worked on his own commercial/home solutions company.
Born and raised in Houston, Kevin has resided in College Station for many years. He has been married to Lenae for almost 4 years and has 2 grown daughters, Haley (and her husband Ryan) and Heather. Kevin and Lenae have a dog, Steinle, and 3 cats, Lucy, Penny, and Maxwell. Kevin chuckles when commenting that, “Steinle yodels when he hears the cats being called by anyone in the neighborhood and Maxwell is the ‘Wal-Mart greeter’ on the jogging trail near our house.”
Kevin seems to always be on the go! He and his wife enjoy riding their road bikes together. Kevin is a duathlete (run, bike, run) and is currently training for the Grand Canyon Half Marathon, to take place this October. Kevin’s wide array of hobbies and interests include traveling, hunting, fishing, and working on home projects. Despite his busy schedule, Kevin even finds time to do some volunteer work in the community by serving on the Facilities Committee of Aggieland Humane Society. Kevin let us in on some little known facts/hidden talents about himself: he whistles all the time and can impressively imitate almost anyone or anything!
Kevin states that his favorite part of being the Graphics Supervisor is helping people be the best they can be and providing exceptional customer service.
