BIZZELL HALL DEMO UPDATE

As most of us have seen firsthand, the Bizzell Hall demolition project is well underway. EDCS Team Lead and Structural Engineer, Mikael Olsen, Ph.D., P.E., has been managing the demo project together with other EDCS staff. Bizzell Hall was constructed in 1918 to serve as a dormitory. The demolition is making room for a new 95,000-square foot Student Services Building currently in design by Lake Flato Architects of San Antonio and PBK Architects through TAMU Facilities Planning & Construction. As part of the design of the new building, special elements have been saved from the old building. These elements will be incorporated into the new Student Services Building.
