SSC GIVES FULL SUPPORT TO TEXAS A&M SUSTAINABILITY INITIATIVES
SSC at TAMU College Station has created a Sustainability Policy and implemented sustainability initiatives to more closely match the intentions of Texas A&M University and the Office of Sustainability’s new Office Certification program.
This past October, Barbara Musgrove of the Customer Relations Department began outlining preparations and has independently taken the lead on this project. The Facilities Services building has been broken down into twenty-one different sections and sustainability champions from each section have been assigned and received instructions.
We are asking all SSC associates to please work with your champions to help make these changes within your areas and take the challenge to be more aware of your personal involvement in economic, social and environmental sustainability.
In an excerpt from his article published in The Sustainable MBA, “Sustainability in the Workplace,” Pablo Paster states, “These opportunities are economic, but also social and environmental. We have only one chance to get it right, but if we succeed we will ensure that future generations can enjoy a high standard of living, practice meaningful and dignified professions, and have access to the clean and abundant natural resources that we take for granted.”
