After a battle with cancer, Jean Becerra passed away on April 2 at her home in Bryan. Jean was born in Saginaw, Michigan and came to live in Texas as an adult. She met and married her sweetheart, Frank Becerra, Sr., and the two were married for 30 years.

In the fall of 2006, Jean began working at the Texas A&M University Physical Plant in Area Maintenance 4. When SSC’s contract began in August 2012, Jean was transferred to AggieWorks, where she worked until her retirement in September 2017.

Jean was well loved by her family, friends and co-workers. She loved to laugh and could easily make others crack a smile and laugh, too. She enjoyed baking cakes for various occasions and making tacos to sell around the office.

SSC extends our condolences to Mr. Frank and the rest of Jean’s family.

We will miss her very much!
