NOISE MONITORING CONDUCTED
SSC is committed to the safety and well-being of all our employees. As part of our ongoing safety awareness, noise monitoring is conducted periodically to ensure that all machinery and/or equipment used on a daily basis is operating at the maximum, as it relates to noise reduction. Grounds Management has a routine maintenance schedule which is part of our endeavor to ensure compliance.
Recently, John Alaniz, Compass Group Safety Manager, accompanied by Jeannie Freeman, Safety Coordinator for the Grounds Management at Texas A&M University gathered noise-sampling data using a calibrated noise dosimeter from all equipment used in the day – to – day management of grounds. In addition, equipment used infrequently was tested to ensure comprehensive compliance. The purpose achieved through the collection of this type of data is that SSC ensures all associates affected by noise-exposure are using the appropriate noise-protection equipment. The Hearing Conservation Program SSC requires all associates to adhere to complies with the OSHA 29 CFR 1910.95 Occupational Noise Exposure Standard.
We appreciate the SSC associates that participated in the
two-week long process of noise monitoring.
