Custodial Services is incredibly proud of custodian Faustina Herrera for being named a recipient of the President’s Meritorious Service Award (PMSA). Faustina has 19 years of service working as a custodian on the Texas A&M University campus. Since 2002, she has served in the role of caretaker for the Vice President for Student Affairs’ residence. Faustina has faithfully served three Vice Presidents and their families. The residence is also regularly and routinely used for student meetings, donor activities, and events such as Family Weekend, Student Leader Barbeque, and football tailgates, just to name a few. VP for Student Affairs, Dr. Danny Pugh, Sr., nominated Faustina. The PMSA program included portions of Faustina's nomination letters: Faustina’s work ethic is driven by her sense of selfless service and loyalty to her position and the occupying family. Her performance of duties exceeds the position expectations. She exemplifies selfless service by consistently being available – including nights, weekends, holidays, and special events. She is often called upon to train other custodial workers because of her outstanding work ethic. Faustina consistently gives 100% or more at work each day. She is recognized by her supervisor, customers, and co-workers as a peak performer. Faustina was recognized at the President’s Meritorious Service Awards ceremony on April 23. This event kicked off the university’s Staff Appreciation Week.
We are so very proud of you on this prestigious award! Keep up the outstanding work!
