CUSTOMER APPRECIATION LUNCH
We held our fall customer appreciation lunch on October 10 at the Equine Complex Auditorium. It was a very well attended event and guests enjoyed a Texas Smokehouse lunch catered by Chartwells and a chance to win many amazing prizes, thanks to the generous donations of many of our contractors.
Jeff Heye, Regional Director of Operations-Engineering, Design & Construction Services (EDCS), spoke about his team’s work and provided several updates and reminders on how to do work on projects with EDCS.
Regional Director of Operations for Maintenance, Paul Tisch, spoke on updates about department leadership, Maintenance training and apprentice program and number of work orders (corrective) versus preventative (PM).
Richard Gentry took this opportunity to introduce Phillip Zellner, our Grounds Regional Director of Operations, who started in May. Richard also spoke on scholarship opportunities that SSC offers to Texas A&M students.
Sustainability was incorporated into the lunch. Instead of using disposable plates, utensils and cups, we used china, real silverware and glassware (thanks, Chartwells!). Barbara Musgrove created the centerpieces by decorating repurposed baskets filled with produce purchased locally from Farm Patch.
SSC is extremely appreciative of all of the hard work that building proctors and facility managers do on a daily basis. We are proud to work with such a great bunch of people and want every proctor and facility manager to know that we are here for them!
