L-R: Wade Thompson of Prairie View, George Bernardon RVP, Larry Bedwell of West Texas,
Mike Newton of Tarleton, and Barbara Musgrove of Texas A&M
We would like to congratulate our sister campuses, Tarleton State University, Prairie View A&M University and West Texas A&M University on the awards they received through the Professional Grounds Management Society (PGMS) Green Star program. This program gives national recognition to grounds maintained with a high degree of excellence. Each of these campuses has SSC contracted to run their Grounds Management departments.
Earlier this year, SSC at TAMU associate Barbara Musgrove traveled to each campus to work with their Grounds departments to compile the presentations and applications to be submitted and reviewed by the PGMS Green Star selection committee. The results were impressive as Tarleton State was awarded the top Grand award followed by an Honor award for both Prairie View and West Texas.
The Grounds Managers of Tarleton, Prairie View and West Texas, along with other SSC representatives from their campuses, attended the awards banquet held in mid-October at the annual PGMS conference in Louisville, Kentucky to be recognized and receive their awards.
SSC at TAMU would like to extend a sincere thank you to Barbara Musgrove for all of her hard work and effort put into each application.
Congrats to Tarleton, Prairie View and West Texas on your awards!
