DOOR DECORATING CONTEST TRADITION CONTINUES
SSC held its fifth annual holiday door decorating contest. Ralph Davila, Valeria Hadley and Rob Robideau of the University’s Facilities and Dining Administration team served as judges and scored the doors.
First place went to Engineering, Design & Construction Services (EDCS) with Buddy the Elf’s Christmas Journey. Many hands and helpers went into this elaborate display. Special thanks to Shannon Tipton, Sarah Morris, Deborah Hardt, Andrea Wienen, Lisa Gray, Dennis Gray, Abe Obregon, Erik Ramos, Cristien Alanis, Mildred Trevino, Jeff Heye, Blair Cortez, Jon Hobson, Lance Hopper, Alex Fuentes and Shane Johnson.

Among our décor are 44 boxes of breakfast cereal and 36 cans of Chunky Soup that will be donated to the 12th Can. The 12th Can is a student-run food pantry located at Texas A&M to serve all students, faculty and staff in need of assistance. They opened their doors in November 2013 and have managed to serve over 90,000 pounds of food.

The Custodial main office came in second with their Whoville door. The decorating team included Alma Villarreal, Almita Montfort, Lilly Montfort, Renee Fabreo, Ruth Alvarez, Sully Strohmeyer, Melanie Cosme and Casey Welch and James Moore.
Third place went to AggieWorks for their AggieWorks is Snow Much Fun door.
A pizza party will be held for the winning EDCS team/ Thanks to all of the other departments/teams who participated in this fun event: Communications Center, Custodial Crew J, Custodial Crew A, Quality Assurance & Technology, Graphics and Grounds.
