WELCOME TO MIT KENDAHL FISHER

SSC would like to extend a warm welcome to Kendahl Fisher, who recently joined SSC as a Manager in Training (MIT) through Compass Group’s program.

Originally from Long Beach, California, Kendahl graduated with her Bachelor’s in Marketing from Southwest Minnesota State University and went on to receive her MBA from Louisiana State University-Shreveport.  When explaining how she heard about the MIT program, Kendahl says, “I saw the opening for the MIT program on my extensive job search and decided to look more into it. I was very intrigued by the company and felt that this would be a great opportunity to help me grow as a person and a professional.”  Before starting with SSC, the world of facilities services was brand new to Kendahl.  When asked how she got interested in facilities, Kendahl explains, “The thought of being a part of managing such a well-known facility (Texas A&M) is such a great honor. Facilities services is brand new to me and I knew it would be a challenge, but is a challenge I’m willing to take on.”

About three months ago, Kendahl moved all the way to College Station from California.  She has four dogs, but they are back home in California; Zoey (Boxer, 11 years old), Mia (Pug, 6 years old), Maya (golden retriever, 6 years old) and Lucy (Boxer, 3 years old).  Kendahl has a huge love for animals, especially dogs.  In her leisure time, Kendahl likes to be active.  She loves to play all kinds of sports, especially soccer, and also enjoys working out, hiking and spending time with family and friends. Kendahl has an eye for photography and admits to being a decent singer.

During her college years, Kendahl played Division II soccer and holds the record for most assists at Southwest Minnesota State University.  She was quite involved in school, including being on the NCAA Student- Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), Leadership Counsel for SMSU Women’s Soccer Team, National Society of Leadership and Success, NSIC “It’s a Slam Dunk - Don’t Drive Drunk” Campaign, American Marketing Association Club and Breast Cancer Awareness Fundraiser.  While in undergrad, Kendahl received many awards, including Scholar-Athlete Award (2013-2016)/All Conference 1st Team & 2nd Team (2012-2016).

Kendahl said it best when she summed up how her MIT program is going so far:  “I have learned so much. I have gotten the opportunity to shadow AggieWorks, Project Managers, The Communications Center and the Operations Managers. I have been able to meet so many new faces and have felt so welcomed by everyone. I have learned so much so far on how SSC works and the flow of how everything gets accomplished. I have been able to see firsthand some of the work that has been done here and how specific situations are handled. I look forward to what is yet to come.”

We’re glad you’re here, Kendahl, and wish you much success as you go through the rest of the MIT program!
