On April 23, another successful banquet was put on for Custodial Services by our Fish Aide Student Committee with Alex Jacobs leading the project. The banquet took place at the MSC and the dynamic speaker was TAMU’s very own professor Reuben Buford May (also known as “Stuckey”). He is a known street corner rapper in College Station and has won awards here at TAMU for his teaching.
Stuckey wowed the crowd with humor, history, and inspiration in his teaching. He shared his background and how he became the successful, talented man he is today. Custodial Services associates enjoyed his presentation and some were even inspired by his background.
Fish Aides have always put on a great banquet and they continue to show their appreciation to the SSC Custodial teams whose work can oftentimes go unnoticed. This event is something that all of the Custodial crews look forward to each year.
Custodial Services Unit Director Madlene Maxwell expressed, “Our custodial teams work hard and we are proud to say that we have the best students in the world here at TAMU. We love our students and we want to continue to be here for them for years to come.”
Madlene goes onto say, “Just knowing we have a multitude of talent on this campus is surprising to most and we are so proud to be a part of such a great campus with great students, professors, administrative staff, and services departments which make up the TAMU community.”
Thank you, Fish Aides, for making our Custodial crews feel extra special.
