Football season in AggieLand brings excitement, joy, comradery, and just plain fun to tens of thousands who will visit Texas A&M each home game. Some come to attend the game, others come to tailgate, and some may even come just to catch up with old classmates and friends. Anytime you have an event that attracts as many visitors as a Home Aggie Football Game does, things are bound to come up missing and/or get lost. The SSC Grounds Team sometimes finds these items while cleaning up the campus after a home game, as was the case after the Auburn game last weekend. During that clean-up effort Marcelino Carpio, a 13 year member of the team, found a phone case/combination wallet on Simpson Drill Field. In similar fashion, Wayne Perez, a new member of the team, found an Aggie Ring near Kyle Field. We were fortunate enough, with the help of The Association of Former Students and Google, to be able to locate both parties who had lost their valuable possessions and get them returned to their very thankful, rightful owners. We, SSC Grounds Team, are extremely proud that employees, both old and new, exhibited this degree of integrity while carrying out their work and are pleased to recognize their efforts.
