THE INTERNATIONAL HOUSEKEEPERS WEEK CELEBRATION FOR SSC CUSTODIAL
The annual International Housekeepers week celebration for custodial was held on Friday 9/27/2019 at the Zone Club at Kyle Field from 11:00 AM until 1:30 PM. The Theme for our celebration was:
Every year the custodial management team headed by Resident Regional Director of Operations Ted Dawson, his six Unit Directors and the custodial support staff work together feverishly to put on a memorable celebration for the custodial staff in order to celebrate our Kings and Queens of Clean. All custodial team members are recognized for their hard work and dedication to SSC Custodial and to Texas A & M University for working hard to consistently provide a sanitary, attractive learning and work environment for students, faculty and staff alike. Because of their hard work and dedication, Texas A & M is one of the most beautiful and cleanest campuses in the nation. Other Universities often tour the campus so they can learn about what makes us successful. Each table at the Zone was beautifully decorated with tablecloths and King and Queen Crowns used as centerpieces and /or head dress for the employees to wear. The celebration kicked off with opening remarks from our Resident Regional Director of Operations. Ted thanked all employees for the hard work they do each day. Then he told them how valuable everyone is to the team. All employees received hand written “Thank You” cards from their supervisors along with a catered meal. In addition, drawings were held for several fabulous door prizes which included big screen TV’s, lab top computers, tablets, gift cards and much more. We also had fun with socializing, posing for pictures, a live DJ and dancing and a great time was had by all.
Special guests from the University who were present at the celebration and there to show their support for custodial included Ralph Davila, (TAMU Contract Administrator) and Bill Cox (Assistant Director for Facilities & Dining Administration).
