Compass Community Council

Many staff members attended the Compass Community Council (CCC) event in Austin held at the Q2 Stadium on June 14. Great food, drinks, and company were enjoyed by all, as well as a program full of information.

Some recent stats include:

TAMU Law School - Custodial Shining Star Judith Murphy - Assistant Unit Director

Judith was hired as the Assistant Supervisor, for Custodial at the TAMU Law School, on June 23, 2017, six years ago today. She was promoted to Asst. Unit Director on March 15, 2019.

One of Judith’s custodial associates want to recognize Judith and below is what she sent to me:

“Ms. Judy, she works so hard, I noticed she has not taken time from work in so long. Now during the summer, unscheduled events pop up, security at the Law School gives her a hard time about things but she remains as cool as a cucumber, not to mention all the unexpected moves that occur regularly and she is jumping through hoops to get everything done for our customers. We had a ground-breaking ceremony on June 21st and again, she was poised, professional and went above and beyond like she always do. I just think she deserves recognition on our message board online or put in a bulletin or something.

It's a small campus, nothing compared to TAMU main campus and she don't have even close to the number of employees to supervise, however to be able to handle cleaning a building that is very meticulous with ever floor open 7 days a week with a small staff. This to me seem overwhelming at times but Judy seems to do it with ease.”

Pam, I agree 100%. From day one, she jumped in, reorganizing, custodial office/breakroom, learning the building, meeting the customers and just making an amazing first impression with all who work and visit the Law School. She is dedicated to providing exceptional customer service and she trains her team to be just as dedicated as she is. The Law School is more than 300 miles from our TAMU campus in College Station, so Judith is the consistent SSC representative they see on a daily basis and I could not be happier to have such an example leading the way and making SSC/Compass Group shine every day.

Judith has canceled vacation time, more than once so that she could be onsite for special events or due to crew adjustments because of her associates’ personal needs. She always has a smile on her face and has missed no more than 2 days the entire six years she has been with SSC. Wow, what an example of a  great worker and supervisor. She does not just supervise; she works along her associates every night and covers entire areas to make the Law School shine.  Judith, you are truly one of a kind and I am honored to have you as part of my team. I have told Judith, more than once how you make my job easier because I do not have to worry about the Law School. Blessings to you and I am so proud of you.
